September 25, 2004: I don't need to rework those radiator brackets quite yet. Bill Cardell took my rad's life into his hands and welded a new patch on in place of the bad JB Weld job I'd done in the past. The weld looks great but the epoxy filling in the rad wasn't too happy. JB Weld, more appropriately used, has been pressed into service to reinforce the existing epoxy. It should work very nicely and I'm much more relaxed about the state of the cooling system now. Some questions still remain, however - is the engine okay? Will the rad perform some other surprising trick? Are there any more electrical surprises in wait? Tune in next time and we'll see.
